Lent to the home office for a 2-week project (more like “a three hour tour”) to review Loan loans being packaged for resale on the secondary market. They had me set-up a new department after wrote procedures for loan audit and hired staff of 3 to audit all new loan production. Set up new filing system: found all of the loans, organized them in bank of filing cabinet with sign-out cards (identified all Loan Production since the S&L’s inception), and put the loans into loan number order with a cover sheet on the front identifying its status (eligible or not for sale) and if not who the loan had been sold to and whether or not servicing was retained including any percentage of ownership. had subordinates reviewing for documentation presence and file order, I reviewed all loans for credit quality conformity with the loan approval and gave them an overall grade. After grading of the portfolio, was assigned to write and implement the procedures for a computer conversion of the Loan Servicing Department and given the added responsibility of the Appraisal Review Department.
